Let’s take a closer look at what MEXC really is.

loves to take our money, but because of their greed, they hate giving it back when a trader manages to make a profit.

When I was making deposits between May 23, 2024, and December 20, 2024, totaling around one million dollars — and even getting liquidations — MEXC didn’t ask me for any documents.
They didn’t care where I worked, how much I earned, or what the source of my cryptocurrency was.
Why would they? They already had my money.

But as soon as I started trading profitably and growing my deposit, after just one month of steady positive trading, MEXC blocked me — and suddenly they had endless questions for me.

One of MEXC’s Head even stated openly that trading like mine was “unrealistic,” and therefore I must have been receiving insider deals.
Really? From whom, I wonder?
Maybe from the Trump family?

If they block traders who trade steadily and profitably, thinking it’s impossible, then the whole system at MEXC is designed in such a way that traders are only meant to lose their deposits there.
And if, by some miraculous turn of events, someone manages to avoid liquidation and starts growing their deposites — then, in their opinion, that person must have known where the market would go in advance. That’s absurd.

Just look at the screenshots of my trades, which I opened a few days before my account was blocked and which I still keep open.
They’ve been showing a huge loss since January this year.
If I really knew where the market would go or which token to trade, would I have such trades?
Of course not.
That proves that I have always traded honestly.

Do you really believe that

does not require mandatory KYC?

Let’s take my case as an example.

On May 23, 2024, I registered, and I was immediately asked to complete basic verification in order to be able to trade futures.
– On May 23, 2024, I provided my driver’s license.

On January 19 2025, my account was restricted, and customer support informed me that I needed to pass advanced verification, preferably using the same documents I had provided earlier. I also had to confirm my residential address.

– On January 19, 2025, I provided my driver’s license, a recent utility bill, and passed face-scanning verification.

– On January 26, 2025, I provided MEXC with my bank statements — from 2 banks and 3 debit cards, covering several years of use.

– On January 29, I provided MEXC with my medical certificate, confirming my health condition and thus proving the impossibility of flying to Singapore for in-person verification.

On September 30, MEXC requested the following documents:

2.Please provide employment details and income proof for the past 6 months
3.Please provide address proof (issued within 6 months): bank statements, salary slips, or utility bills 4.Explain the deposit source and provide supporting documents: Fiat/Spot trading records
5.Explain the purpose and destination of your MEXC withdrawal and provide supporting documents: Fiat/Spot trading records
6.Please provide tax filing records for the past 3 years

Proof of income for the last 6 months and proof of address for the last 6 months — despite the fact that I have not been able to do anything on MEXC for more than 8 months.
Where is the logic?

Tax records for the last 3 years — even though I registered on MEXC less than 1.5 years ago.

An explanation for the attempted withdrawal of 50,000 USDT on June 17, 2024.
What is the logic here?
They did not allow me to withdraw my own money — this was not trading profit, it was part of my deposit! The withdrawal address was absolutely clean under AML checks! As was the address of my wallet, from which the deposit was made.

And most importantly, MEXC has repeatedly — more than 10 times — demanded my personal visit to Singapore, and even once to Hong Kong, in order to undergo in-person verification.

Given that the police in Singapore and Hong Kong informed me that MEXC has no license in their countries to carry out any kind of activity, does this mean that in-person verification and resolving the issue of unfreezing my account, cooperation, and other details of my trading would constitute a violation of the laws of these countries?

In summary:

MEXC has no license, no office address, they have not provided me with a single document that I or my lawyers requested, but MEXC is collecting more information from me than my own government.
On what basis? I truly feel fear.

I sent two recent letters to the Prime Minister of Singapore and the President of Singapore.
In my humble opinion,
@MEXC_Official
is simply mocking me, demanding every possible document from me — either to blackmail me or so they can “accidentally” leak them into the public domain on the internet.
All this time, I have not received a single document from them that I have requested.

This is madness.

is demanding explanations for withdrawal attempts that happened more than a year ago.
On June 17, 2024, I needed to withdraw 50,000 USDT from the exchange. The withdrawal address was absolutely clean. This was not my trading profit — it was part of my deposit. The deposit was in ETH, and on spot trading I exchanged it for USDT.
I tried a couple of times, but each time the withdrawal was rejected. At that point, they requested a selfie of me holding my passport and a sheet of paper with my UID, the date, and maybe something else written on it.
Given that I had already been trading on MEXC for about a month and had completed the basic verification.

I found these requirements strange — having to go through such verification just to withdraw 50,000.
In the end, I exchanged ETH for USDT on another exchange without any problems.

Today I received a letter from MEXC support:

"Dear MEXCer

Regarding the issue of risk control restrictions for your account, in accordance with the requirements of the risk control department, please cooperate in supplementing the following information:

1.Please provide passport documents and a photo holding the passport

2.Please provide employment details and income proof for the past 6 months

3.Please provide address proof (issued within 6 months): bank statements, salary slips, or utility bills

4.Explain the deposit source and provide supporting documents: Fiat/Spot trading records

5.Explain the purpose and destination of your MEXC withdrawal and provide supporting documents: Fiat/Spot trading records

6.Please provide tax filing records for the past 3 years"

Just look at the list of requirements!

And on top of that, I still have to explain why I am requesting the withdrawal of my own funds? "the purpose of withdrawal"

My own government asks me for fewer documents.
It feels like MEXC are mocking me.

As I understand it, they are only going to return my last deposit, not all of my deposits.

So, for now, they plan to return just about 125,000 USDT. The exact amount will be known later…
That’s if I successfully pass the verification.

Derrick also ignored my question about when the investigation will end and when I will get all my money back.

When MEXC was crediting my deposits, they didn’t ask me for anything, but in order to get back even a part of my own funds, I now have to provide a pile of private and confidential information.
This is absurd.

also invites me to personally undergo KYC in Hong Kong, he writes: "We have some updates, our management and compliance team is open to meet in Hong Kong."

However, the Hong Kong police replied to me as follows: "MEXC has neither been licensed by the Security and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong nor applied to the SFC for a licence to a licence to operate a virtual asset trading platform (VATP) in Hong Kong. We checked that you mentioned the HK registered company (Skey HK Blockchain Limited) which was dismissed on 17 January 2025."

How can we even discuss unblocking the account, further cooperation, and other matters if MEXC has no license in Hong Kong?

And where exactly are we supposed to do this — in some hotel, or perhaps in a car parking?
